They came... at last!

here are some pix of my family who stayed with me for a week from 09.02.08 to 16.02.08. this is their first time in sydney, so i have been showing them around a fair bit, ok, a lot! we did pretty much most of the touristy stuff, from the blue mountains to the hunter valley and everything in between. it was awesome to have them here and it was stressful too. its kinda hard to explain to them how the aussies live here. simple things like wearing shoes in the house took me days to explain to them. not that i mind actually. its good fun to argue with them, hehe. not heated arguments though.

another mission is shopping. they seem to find it hard to buy anything because of the currency exchange rate. understandable but at times it does get to me a bit. end of the day, they manage to get some cheap souvenirs at paddy's. thank god for imitation!!!

its good to have some quiet time by myself now but at the same time, i miss them heaps. all in all, it was good fun... especially my fourth aunt, never cease to crack a joke. hope they enjoy their trip as much as i do. look forward to your next visit!!!

Movie Review...

Think of this film as a sick combination of Natural Born Killers and Run Lola Run. To me, its pretty clear the director is following Quentin Tarantino's style. Not as good but getting there styling wise...

One of the best film on this issue since American History X..... at least thats what I thought.

16.02.08 - sure is amazing how things turn around

ok now.. time for some of my babbling. morning of 16.02.08 reminds me realise how unpredictable life can be. someone i have chatted to almost 18 months ago, contacted me. never crossed my mind this will ever happen. i was excited and intrigued at the same time. of cos, it went well. way way better than i expected. what can i say... cest la vie.

this sudden change sure is the highlight of 2008! looking forward to the next one... for sure!!!

well well well. what a way to start 2008. my second week back at work, simply sweet. here's why...

monday : drive to the city after work, parked the car, thought of shopping, 5 mins later, started raining even though it has been freakin hot and humid for the past week. who would have thought? gave up shopping, walked back to the car (in the rain), the stupid car alarm didnt work. stood in the rain trying to fix the bloody thing but 15min, a few gallons of water pouring later, i decided - fuck it, i'm just gonna open the door with the keys. of cos, the car alarm went off. got in the car, with the alarm still blarring in my ears, tried to break the casing of the alarm remote in my hands so that i can press whatever button to turn the alarm off. 20min later, for some god know reason, i heard 2 beeps which is the sound of the alarm being turned off. YAY!

tuesday : came in to the office, turned the computer (mac) on, received a message asking if i wanna update the powerpc on my mac. i clicked yes, it asked me to restart after installing, which i did and after it restarts, the stupid thing asked for a password. since when i have a password on the piece of shit, i dont know. after mucking around with it, typping in all possible passwords, guess what? it didnt work. so i switch it to DOS mode, see if i can fix it. 2 hours later, the fucking piece of muthafucking shit crash on me....YAY!

wednesday - current : been trying to salvage everything i can from my mac to other hard drives and being this company is such a stingy ass company, there aint many gadjets for me to play around. and me being pretty resourceful (scoff scoff), have to use my personal gadjets to help save whatever data is important. so, at the moment, my workstation does look like a scene out of Matrix, cables everywhere, i have 2 CPU, 3 portable hard drives and my laptop working at the same time....

so long 2007, bring on 2008!

howdy. for those who know me well or know what's been happening, i had a roadtrip to lismore for NYE. the trip was awesome all-in-all. the entire set up of the dance party was pretty amazing. i had a different perception as to how it would be, but then it was still good regardless. just imagine 2 big ass farm sheds, converted to dance halls, equipped with laser and flash lights, fantastic sound system, great DJs, in the middle of nowhere, its simply different. also, when you walk out of the dance hall, you are surrounded by nothing but bushes and forest, amazing view fresh air and accompanied by such friendly people. everyone says hello to everyone and everyone was in such jolly good mood. keep long story short, i had a great time. **pix was taken with my phone which is pretty crappy... I NEED A NEW PHONE!
